Ernesto – Partner

For over 7 years Ernesto has worked in many areas of the veterinary field. From surgical assistance to intensive care units, he has gained valuable insights and an acute awareness to the health of his patients.

Ernesto first began in the Veterinary field right after high school. Hired on the spot, his employers quickly put him on the veterinary assistant floor and within a few weeks was assisting in surgery. For 2 years, he would work with this clinic and learn the basic skills required to be an exceptional veterinary assistant.

Never shying away from a challenge, he  opted to leave to a veterinary hospital in order to refine and expand his skills. It was here that Ernesto was introduced to new surgical procedures and a broader range of hospital cases that went beyond traditional veterinary clinics.

Empowered with these new skills, he entered into a specialist practice. He began working with one of Houston’s premier feline practices. He would end up working at two feline only practices during this time. During these years, Ernesto would learn about the common and rare ailments felines are predisposed to.

He would eventually arrive at the intensive care unit of one of the nation’s leading veterinary specialist hospitals. Ernesto would work closely with hospitalized patients and their veterinarians, handling difficult and rare cases. He had the opportunity to learn new techniques and procedures that would have never occurred in veterinary clinics or hospitals.

PetBuddy Houston has been a project in the making for most of those years. From its humble beginnings Ernesto has been in the forefront.

When he isn’t pet sitting in Houston, Ernesto enjoys traveling, local music / art, rock climbing, and cycling. Ernesto holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Houston.
